HAKOM at the Future Internet Forum’s Meeting (FIF)

The Future Internet Forum meeting was held in Brussels, and the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Mario Weber, Executive Director at HAKOM.

 
ZAGREB, April 28, 2017 - Within the framework of  “Horizon 2020”  the meeting of European Union's Research and Innovation Programme for the period  2014-2020, Future Internet Forum (FIF) was held in Brussels on April 27. The Future Internet Forum is consisted of representatives of 28 Member States and 11 countries in the accession negotiations, representing the initiatives of the future internet at the national level. The Forum meets twice a year to share knowledge, experience and best practices among its members and eventually to identify key groups, activities and institutions. In addition, joint approaches to specific topics were discussed in order to establish complementarity among different frameworks. The group is expected to provide information on relevant goals and scientific, technological and innovation programmes, activities and priorities through the recommendations and reports.
 
The meeting was opened by Mr. Pearse O'Donohue, Director General for the Future Network of DG CONNECT at the European Commission (EC). The topic of the meeting was the EC's initiative "Next Generation Internet" (NGI). The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Mario Weber, Executive Director.
