HAKOM's Experts at the Seminar on the Implementation of the new EU standards regarding the protection of personal data and information

The ZSEM Business Academy organized a seminar aimed to train students for applying the EU regulations in their work with personal, business and classified data.
ZAGREB, April 11 2017 - Following the invitation of the organizer ZSEM Business Academy, Zagreb hosted a seminar on “Application of new EU standards in the protection of personal data and information. The seminar was led by Mr. Petar Mišević. On May 2018, a new General Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data is about to enter into force. (General Data Protection Regulation).The public, private and government sector is obliged to take stronger measures to protect the personal data of the EU citizens raising the protection from misuse.
The seminar was aimed to train students to apply new EU regulations in dealing with personal, business and classified data, to acquire new knowledge of applicable standards of working with data and information, to contribute to a better organization of information security to protect business systems and inform about current IT risks and methods on how to protect themselves from theft and unauthorized disclosure of data and information as well as the protection in business communication.
The seminar was attended by the experts from the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) Anita Budimir, Jagoda Peleponjko, Ana Šubat Perković, Natalija Boltužić, Vesna Gabrić Kešina and Roland Lipošinović.
