The working group is responsible for addressing the control and supervision of the radio frequency spectrum as well as for writing the proposals of international recommendations for the development of joint measurement techniques and procedures for the radio frequency spectrum monitoring
ZAGREB, April 4, 2017 – Following the invitation of the organizer the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) of the Electronic Communications Committee (ECC) Copenhagen hosted the 47th WG FM PT22 meeting. The working group is responsible for proposals for the international recommendations and the development of common measurement techniques and procedures for the radio frequency spectrum monitoring. The practical exchange of experience is of great importance as well as the solutions related to the control of the radio frequency spectrum, the organization of measurement campaigns and general principles of measurement and measuring equipment and finally the information on current ITU-R Recommendations related to the radio frequency spectrum control.
The main topics of the meeting were measurements of coverage of mobile communications networks, DVB-T / T2 coverage measurement, radiated power determination by measurements on the ground, the control of MSS frequency band, the existence of illegal users of radio frequency spectrum and measurements of deviations of FM radio stations.
The participants were the renowned experts in the field of electronic communications and official representatives of the EU Member States. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by HAKOM’s experts Josip Milanović and Dubravko Žagar.
