HAKOM at the Meeting of BEREC's Expert Working Group in the Field of International Roaming

The aim of the meeting was the development of guidelines on the implementation of new regulatory framework which would ultimately lead to the abolition of additional retail roaming charges, coming into force on15 June 2017.

 
ZAGREB, March 28, 2017 – Following the invitation of the organizer the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications BEREC, Brussels hosted the meeting of International Roaming Expert Working Group - IR EWG. The aim of the meeting was to determine the of implementation of  new roaming regulatory framework with a focus on the development of guidelines for national regulatory authorities and operators. After a successful development and adoption of guidelines related to the retail service in roaming, the development  of guidelines started in reference to  the provision of wholesale roaming services. The abolition of additional retail roaming charges is expected on June 15, 2017.

The stakeholders were the representatives of regulatory authorities of the EU Member States and members of the European Commission. The experts Mislav Hebel and Iva Vučić took part in the meeting.
