HAKOM at the Meeting of BEREC's International Roaming Expert Working Group

The objective of the meeting was defining the implementing methods of new regulatory framework, which will ultimately lead to the abolition of additional retail roaming charges, which should come into force on June 15, 2017.
 
ZAGREB, February 8, 2017 – Following the invitation of the organizer Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications, BEREC, the meeting of International Roaming Expert Working Group - IR EWG was held in Brussels. The objective of the meeting was defining the method of implementation of new regulatory framework with the focus on the guidelines development for national regulatory authorities and operators on implementation of the policy of fair dealing. The abolition of additional retail roaming charges is expected on June 15, 2017.
 
The participants were representatives of the regulatory authorities of the EU Member States, members of the European Commission, and renowned experts in the field of electronic communications. Mislav Hebel, expert at the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) took part in the meeting.
