HAKOM at the EMERG Workshop on Network Neutrality

The Italian regulatory authority AGCOM and the EU organized the two-day workshop which was held in Rome.
  
ZAGREB, 16 December 2016 - On 14 and 15 December, the Italian regulatory authority AGCOM (Autorità per le garanzie nelle comunicazioni) and the European Union organized the workshop of Euro-Mediterranean Regulators Group EMERG on network neutrality. The workshop was held in Rome. The experts Marina Brkljačić and Andro Marčev participated on behalf of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM).
 
On the first day of the workshop, the guidelines of the European regulatory authorities for Electronic Communications BEREC for national regulators were presented  regarding the implementation of  Net Neutrality Regulation from the aspect of the end-user.
 
The second day's topic was the regulation of „Zero-Rated" service. At the workshop, the  examples and regulatory challenges of such services in the EU Member States were considered but also in Non-member States. The aim of the workshop was the exchange of different experiences inside and outside the EU in order to unify the principle of dealing with similar cases.
