HAKOM at the Meeting of the Communications Committee (COCOM)

At the meeting of COCOM's committee the members voted on the Draft Implementing Regulation on standards of fair dealing in roaming and sustainability. After the voting the presidency established that the Committee did adopt neither a positive nor a negative opinion.
 
ZAGREB, 13 December, 2016 - On 12 December Brussels hosted the 68th meeting of the Communications Committee (COCOM). Mr. Domagoj Maričić, Head of Legal Affairs Department at the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries ( HAKOM) took part in the meeting. COCOM committee is a forum for dialogue between the European Commission (EC) and EU Member States on issues in which the EC has delegated legal authority (authority for the adoption of implementing legislation). Before adopting such legislation the EC must consult experts from  the EU Member States.
 
At the COCOM's meeting the committee members voted on the Draft Implementing Regulation on standards of fair dealing in roaming and sustainability. After the voting the presidency established that the Committee did not adopt neither a positive nor a negative opinion. In accordance with the rules of procedure, the EC in this case can independently decide whether to adopt the proposed text or not. The  EC decision will be known by the end of the week.
