HAKOM at the meeting of the European Network of Rail Regulatory Bodies

A meeting of the European Network of Rail Regulatory Bodies, which will also be attended by HAKOM's representatives, is taking place in Brussels, from 5 to 7 December.
 
Zagreb, 7 December 2016 – The 11th meeting of the European Network of Rail Regulatory Bodies (ENRRB), an advisory body of the European Commission discussing issues and practice in the in the rail services sector with a view to achieving alignment at the European Union level, is taking place in Brussels from 5 to 7 December. The meeting will be attended by a member of the Council of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), Mr. Nikola Popović and by a senior legal affairs expert, Mrs. Dragica Flam.
 
The meeting includes discussions on the manner in which the regulatory authorities apply the provisions of the Directive 2012/34/EU on revision in order to verify the compliance with the provisions on accounting separation and on the manner of verification of compliance with the principles for the determination of charges laid down in the Directive in question. In addition to the discussion on the above-mentioned topics, the Austrian regulatory authority will give a presentation on the verification of the compliance of charges for access to infrastructure with the principles for the their definition,  the French regulatory authority will speak about access to service facilities, the German regulatory authority will speak about the application of provisions on service facilities with a special emphasis on ports and HAKOM about the cooperation with the national rail safety authority. The regulatory authorities will also discuss current developments in their countries concerning the pending procedures and possible organizational changes and will participate in a workshop with DG Competition.
 
This meeting of the European Network of Rail Regulatory Bodies is linked to the meetings of the subgroup on the implementing act on access to service facilities and the subgroup on the implementation of the PSO Regulation (amendment to Regulation 1370/2007). HAKOM will participate in those meetings as well.
