Brussels hosted the workshop on IP interconnection organized by BEREC and OECD
ZAGREB, November 21, 2016 – Following the invitation of the organizer the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) the workshop on IP interconnection was held.
The aim of the workshop was the exchange of knowledge in the light of recent developments in the market and legislative initiatives such as Regulation (EU) 2015/2120 of the European Parliament and the Council in the part related to the network neutrality or the “Open Internet Order” the Decision by the US regulatory authority for the electronic communications (Federal Communications Commission - FCC).
Based on the conclusions from the workshop which brought together the experts from regulatory bodies and other interested parties in the electronic communications market, BEREC will start with updating of the existing report from 2012 entitled ˝An assessment of IP interconnection in the context of net neutrality˝. The OECD representatives showed the latest research results on trends in the IP interconnection .HAKOM’s experts Tomislav Lovrić and Velimir Švedek attended the workshop on behalf of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM).
