On the Occasion of the World TV Day HAKOM took part in the ConferenceNEWSAt the Conference, the latest developments and trends were the topics discussed by the experts from Croatia and abroad. The participants of the panel discussion were the representatives from television stations, IT and telecommunications as well as the representatives of the regulatory authorities. The World Television Day has been celebrated for more than 20 years, and this year's topic of celebration was the importance and influence of the media in Europe.
ZAGREB, 21 November 2016 - On the occasion of the World Television Day –pursuant to Decision of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the conference and exhibition entitled "The digital age 2" were open at the Zagreb Museum of Contemporary Art, The organizers of the event, to be held on November 23, were the NetCro, Satellite Multimedia & IT portal associations.
At the Conference, the latest developments and trends of the fastest growing industries were discussed by the experts from Croatia and abroad. The participants of the panel discussion were the representatives from television stations, IT and telecommunications as well as the representatives of the regulatory authorities. The panellists, Željko Tabaković, Deputy Director and Danijel Vlahović, Radio Broadcast Planning Expert took part in the conference on behalf of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries. At the same time, the fair was held where the products were presented by some of the leading manufacturers of television sets and projectors, organizers of TV content and television stations, numerous service providers and manufacturers of antenna and cable equipment. However, the World Television Day has been celebrated for 20 years, and this year's topic of celebration under the slogan “We love TV” shows the importance and influence of this media in Europe. The television programs attract 610 million viewers in Europe who, spend in average nearly 3 hours and 55 minutes before the small screen per day. The European Broadcasting Union – EBU, Commercial television in Europe – ACT and Association of television and radio sales houses – EGTA) joined together in order to celebrate the World TV Day.
