HAKOM at the IRG-Rail Plenary Meeting

Warsaw hosted the IRG-Rail Plenary Meeting, the European independent rail regulatory body, which was attended by HAKOM’s representatives
 
ZAGREB, 11 November 2016 - Warsaw hosted a plenary meeting of the Independent Regulators' Group - Rail. The meeting was attended by Nikola Popović, Council Member at the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) and Nataša Oliva Prgeša, Senior Railway Services Expert.

The Chair  and Vice Chair of IRG-rail presented  the  survey of activities of the IRG-Rail from the last plenary meeting and the representatives of the IRG-Rail's Working Group  "Access" and subgroups of the same working group "Access to service facilities," reported their planned activities and presented  the work results.

At the plenary meeting, the 2017 IRG-Rail Vice-Chair coming from the Italian regulatory body was elected. At the meeting, the program of activities for 2017waqs voted as well as the two views by the Working Groups. The first view was the guidelines for the direct cost calculation of the Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/909 on the methods of cost calculation that has directly incurred as a result of the operating train service and the second view refers to the definition of market segments and criteria for the evaluation of margins when calculating the compensation for train services.

The activities of the following working groups were presented such as: "Legislation" "Market Surveillance"and sub-working group on fees "Fees to Service Facilities". The regulatory authorities from Ireland and Serbia were presented as new IRG-Rail’s members.
