HAKOM at the Meeting of the Group Policy Management of the Radio Frequency Spectrum (RSPG)

During the meeting a meeting was held of the Working group on Cross-border coordination ( "Good Office") dealing with the interference issues between the Member States.
ZAGREB, November 10, 2016 – Brussels hosted a meeting of the Group policy management of the radio frequency spectrum (Radio Spectrum Policy Group - RSPG). The advisory group is operating within the European Commission. Željko Tabaković, Assistant Director of Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) took part in the meeting.
The Opinion on the frequency bands for the early implementation of mobile communications networks of 5th generation was adopted as well as Draft Report on the Internet of Things (IoT) and more intelligent transportation systems. In addition, the preparatory activities on defining the positions at the World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC 2019) were initiated as well as the activities regarding the Digital Single Market Report.
The report on the results of bilateral negotiations between the EU countries was adopted at the meeting. The report was prepared by the Working group on Cross-border frequency coordination. RSPG report deals with the process, results and proposals for further activities related to the adjustment of frequencies and removal of broadcast signal disturbances between the EU countries.
During the meeting a meeting was held of the Working group on Cross-border coordination ( "Good Office") dealing with the interference issues between the Member States. The RSPG report, the implementation of Amendment to Regional Television Plan and planned activities for the removal of Italian interferences were the topics at the meeting.
