ZAGREB, 9 November 2016 – Following the invitation of the organizer the WorldDAB Forum, an independent international organization responsible for the implementation and promotion of DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) the experts from the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) participate in the general conference taking place on November 9 and 10 in Vienna. The conference brings together more than 200 experts in the field of economics, broadcasting and radio industry but the focus of the conference is the implementation and development of digital radio. HAKOM’s radio broadcast planning experts, Danijel Vlahović and Srećko Mimica participate in the conference.
The topic of the conference is the implementation of DAB standards at the European and global level, an overview of the markets who adopted the DAB standard for digital radio, new market opportunities opening up with the use of the DAB standard, receiver market overview by the users and manufacturers and the availability of receivers in the automotive industry . The WorldDAB is an organization with the headquarter in Geneva which brings together public and commercial radio stations, network operators and equipment manufacturers in order to promote digital sound broadcasting based on DAB and DAB + standard.
