Signed Cooperation Agreement between HAKOM and CRA

In HAKOM's business premises in Zagreb, a meeting was held between the representatives of regulatory authorities for the electronic communications of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and representatives of the Agency for Postal Traffic (RAP) from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting was focused on the promotion of further cooperation and the Agreement was signed between the two regulators.
  
ZAGREB, 8 November 2016 – The representatives of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) hosted the representatives of the Communications Regulatory Agency CRA), Bosnia and Herzegovina, the regulatory body for the electronic communications sector and representatives of the Agency for postal traffic (RAP). The delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Zagreb took part in the meeting with colleagues from HAKOM and the meeting was an opportunity for further cooperation, primarily in the area of ​​management and control of the radio frequency spectrum. In addition the Cooperation Agreement (MoU) between the Croatian and Bosnian regulatory bodies was signed at the meeting.
 
The signed agreement is a continuation of cooperation with our neighbours from Bosnia and Herzegovina which is primarily reflected in the harmonization of the use of radio frequency spectrum and the exchange of experiences and harmonization of views on the important issues of regulation of electronic communications. Special emphasis was given to the professional and technical cooperation between the two national regulatory authorities for faster and easier   transition to new technology of radio and television signal transmission in both countries and to prevent the occurrence of a malfunction of mobile communications networks with new technologies.
 
So far, HAKOM has signed similar agreements with the regulatory authorities from Albania, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Kosovo, Macedonia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Serbia.
