HAKOM at the Meeting of the Project Team for the Emergency Services

The topic discussed at the meeting was how to resolve the problem of transnational emergency calls, the A-GNSS implementation, the impact of DSM proposals to emergency services, possible regulatory aspects of providing e-calls by a third party (TPS eCall), as well as the implementation of verification compliance of the 112 Centre with regard to  e- call.
 
ZAGREB, September 28 2016 – Following the invitation of the organizer CEPT / ECC - European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations / Electronic Communications Committee the 14th meeting of the project team for emergency services (ECC PT ES) was held in Biel, Switzerland. The discussion topic was the  problem  resolution of transnational emergency calls using a unique database of 112 contact centres, the A-GNSS implementation (Assisted Global Navigation Satellite System) as an assistant in the rapid determination of the exact location. It was also discussed on possible regulatory aspects of providing e-calls by a third party (TPS eCall), as well as the implementation of verification compliance of the 112 Centre with regard to e-call.
 
Participants of the meeting were the representatives of regulatory authorities from the European countries as well as the representatives of the state bodies responsible for emergency services, the renowned experts in the field of Electronic communications and emergency services. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Nikša Crnčević, Communication Services Expert.
