HAKOM at a meeting of the WGSE

This working group is responsible for the definition of the technical basis for spectrum management, in particular for the analysis of possibilities for spectrum sharing between different radiocommunications services.
 
ZAGREB, 28 September 2016 – The meeting of the WGSE (Working Group Spectrum Engineering), which is responsible for the definition of the technical basis for spectrum management, in particular for the analysis of possibilities for spectrum sharing between various radiocommunications services, is taking place this week, from 26 do 30 September 2016 in Bled, Slovenia. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) is represented at the meeting by Mr. Krunoslav Bejuk, senior expert for microwave and satellite links, acting as the vice-president of the working group.
 
The report on the use of wireless microphones in the 1492–1518 and 1518–1525 MHz bands was finally adopted at the meeting. Furthermore, seven other documents are expected to be adopted and forwarded to public consultation in different areas of radio communications, in particular: fixed services (maritime broadband communications – MBR, use of MIMO in microwave links, the influence of windmills to fixed service), satellite services (system for satellite monitoring of animals) and short-range devices (two reports on SRD in the UHF band and on traffic radars).
