HAKOM’s experts are participating at the 10th meeting of the European Network of Rail Regulatory Bodies (ENRRB) organized in Vienna.
 
ZAGREB, 27 June 2016. – On 26 and 27 June Vienna is hosting the 10th meeting of the European Network of Rail Regulatory Bodies, an advisory European Commission body dealing with issues and practice in rail services with a view to achieving alignment at the European Union level. The meeting is attended by a member of the Council of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries, Mr. Nikola Popović, and a rail service expert, NMr. Kristijan Solina.
 
The participants at the meeting will hear reports on the regulatory decisions and procedures in the previous period with a view to exchanging experiences in the implementation of procedures and adoption of regulatory decisions. The European Commission will present the adoption of the Fourth Railway Package. Further work and priorities in the work of the ENRRB will also be discussed and a special emphasis will be placed on discussions on the best practice of regulatory authorities in the implementation of regulatory supervision pursuant to Directive 2012/34/EU. In addition to the above-mentioned discussions, presentations will be held by the German, United Kingdom, Italian and Swedish regulators and by IRG-Rail. The European Commission will inform the regulatory authorities on fees for access to railway infrastructure, on the work of expert groups and about the procedures initiated against Member States for non-compliance with the obligation to implement European legislation.
