ZAGREB, 10 June 2016 – The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) which is competent, among other things, for regulation of the rail services market, and for the protection of passengers and users of rail traffic services, published a brochure on rights and obligations of passengers in rail traffic.

The brochure contains key information that must be known by a passenger who chooses to travel by train. It was particularly stressed that a passenger, by purchasing a train ticket, concludes a transportation contract and thus accepts the terms and conditions of the transport contract, that were published on the HŽ’s website on passenger transport(http://www.hzpp.hr/prijevozneispraveu?m=568&mp=479) and available at request at ticket counters.

A special emphasis was placed on support to disabled persons and to persons with reduced mobility. It also contains a description of the complaints procedure (when, how and to whom to complain) and HAKOM’s role in the protection of the rights of passengers.

The brochures are available at ticket counters of the majority of train stations, in trains, on websites of HAKOM, HŽ Passenger Transport (http://www.hzpp.hr/propisi) and Consumer Association (www.potrosac.hr). The brochure is also available at the link
