HAKOM at the meeting of the Communications Committee (COCOM)

At the meeting which is taking place in Brussels, the EC will report on the state of transposition of the Directive on on measures to reduce the cost of deploying high-speed electronic communications networks and on the Regulation on network neutrality and roaming in EU Member States.
 
ZAGREB, 9 June 2016 – The 63rd meeting of the Communications Committee (COCOM) is taking place this Thursday in Brussels. Croatia is represented at this meeting by the Head of the Legal Affairs Department of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM,) Domagoj Maričić.
 
COCOM committee is a forum for dialogue between the European Commission (EC) and EU Member States on issues in which the EC has delegated legal authority (authority for the adoption of implementing legislation). Before adopting such legislation the EC must consult experts from EU Member States (so-called comitology procedure). At today’s meeting, the EC will, inter alia, report on the state of transposition of Directive on measures to reduce the cost of deploying high-speed electronic communications networks and on the Regulation on network neutrality and roaming in EU Member States.
