HAKOM at the Workshop Organized by the ITU

The workshop on Quality of Service and Quality of Experience of Multimedia Applications and Services was held in the Netherlands. The aim of the workshop was to align the methods for assessing the Quality of Service and Quality of Experience by discussing and exchanging the information related to the assessment of technical parameters for the service quality evaluation.

ZAGREB, May 9, 2016 -International Telecommunication Union – ITU hosted a three-day workshop on Quality of Service and Quality of Experience of Multimedia Applications and Services in Haarlem, the Netherlands. The main topics of the workshop were optimization and assessment of the quality of mobile communications networks, the regulators’ role in providing the sufficient quality of service on the mobile telecommunication market, monitoring and assessing the quality of service of broadband Internet access as well as the assessment of quality of service and the quality of experience of 5G network users. The aim of the workshop was to align the methods for assessing the Quality of Service and Quality of Experience by discussing and exchanging the information related to the assessment of technical parameters for evaluation of the quality of services within the ITU Member States.

Participants of the workshop were the ITU renowned experts, representatives of regulatory authorities in the field of telecommunications within the  ITU Member States, representatives of operators of mobile communications networks, equipment manufacturers for the quality of service evaluation  and the academic community. The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) was represented by Josip Milanović, Senior RF Spectrum Monitoring Expert.
