A year has passed since the untimely death of Prof. Antun Carić, PhD as one of the founders of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) as a modern, independent national regulatory authority.

 
ZAGREB, April 29, 2016 - On Saturday, April 30, 2016, it was a year since the untimely death of Prof Antun Carić, PhD, as one of founders of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) as a modern, independent national regulatory authority. Thanks to his knowledge, experience and inexhaustible source of ideas, many programmes and projects have been successfully carried out by HAKOM: such as “e-Agency”, a project in cooperation with the academic community in the Republic of Croatia entitled “Looking to the future”, as well as the postgraduate specialist university study programme on Electronic Communications Market Regulations-the Internet and broadband development programme.

By cultivating the memory of Prof. Antun Carić, who left an indelible mark in the development of the Croatian National Regulatory Authority, HAKOM has established the annual prize named after "Antun Carić," which is being awarded to the published presented scientific or professional work within the of HAKOM’s scope of work.
