A meeting of the Independent Regulator’s Group-Rail for market monitoring was held in Paris and the main topic included the collecting of market data.
ZAGREB, 2 March 2016 – A meeting of the Independent Regulator’s Group-Rail for market monitoring was held in Paris and the main topic included the collecting of market data. On behalf of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), the meeting was attended by Ms. Nataša Oliva Prgeša, senior expert for rail services.
The round table discussion covered the Market Monitoring Report 2014 and comments submitted by regulatory authorities. This was followed by a discussion on the 2015 Report the drafting of which will start in May when infrastructure managers and railway operators start collecting market data.
Possible amendments to the Report were discussed at the meeting including the definition of additional market indicators, and elimination of some market indicators. It was also decided that subgroups for certain specific issues would be set up within the working group for collecting market data. The meeting also included discussions on the draft guidelines for 2016 and further plans for the working group.
