HAKOM at the meeting of BEREC Next Generation Networks (NGN) Expert Working Group

The working group deals with topics concerning the development of next generation networks and the related challenges.
 
ZAGREB, 5 November 2015 – BEREC (Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications) organized in Brussels a meeting of the NGN EWG (Next Generation Networks Expert Working Group. This working group deals with various topics concerning the development of next generation networks and the related challenges.
 
The main topic of the meeting was the agreement on the final position concerning the report on the situation of IP interconnection for voice services in the EU. The report should be adopted at BEREC’s next plenary session, followed by its publication. Since the end of the year is approaching, the meeting also included discussions on projects planned for 2016 and an initial discussion on “Challenges and drivers in the development of Next Generation networks and infrastructure competition”. 
 
Participants of the said meeting were representatives of regulatory authorities of the EU and BEREC member states. HAKOM’s expert for market analysis, Tomislav Lovrić, also participated in the meeting.
