HAKOM at the third BEREC Stakeholder Forum MeetingNEWSStakeholder forum is an event where BEREC, for the third year in a row, has been representing its planned activities dealing with the topics that are of great importance to the all stakeholders on the market as well as the future electronic communications market development ZAGREB, 16 October 2015 - In Brussels, the third in a row BEREC Stakeholder Forum Meeting was held ,bringing together 170 participants, representatives of 100 different organizations, including the representatives of the national regulatory bodies. Mr. Domagoj Jurjević, Deputy President of the Council participated at the meeting on behalf of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM). The Stakeholder forum is an event where BEREC, for the third year in a row, has been representing its planned activities dealing with the topics that are of great importance to the all stakeholders on the market as well the future electronic communications market development. Accordingly, this year's "BEREC Stakeholder Forum Meeting" embraced three thematic units. In addition to the draft BEREC Work Programme for 2016, the topics such as “Internet of Things – IOT” and Machine to Machine - M2M Communications ˝ as well as” The Digital ecosystem: Challenges and Opportunities for Europe “were discussed. The keynote speaker Mr. Günther Oettinger, European Commissioner for the Digital Economy and the Society who among other things, emphasized the importance of taking the advantage of digital single market because the term "digital economy" is not only related to the telecommunications sector.
