HAKOM at the first meeting of the regional group for optimization of the remaining broadcasting spectrum in Budapest

The group was established in order to facilitate optimization and international coordination of the remaining broadcasting spectrum at the regional level. The results of this group will contribute to the process of international coordination of frequencies necessary for the switchover to DVB-T2 and to the freeing of the spectrum of the second digital dividend for services in mobile communications networks
 
 
ZAGREB, 2 October 2015 – Experts of the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) participated at the first meeting of the regional group for the optimization of the remaining broadcasting spectrum which is taking place in Budapest at the premises of the Hungarian National Media and Infocommunications Authority). The regulatory group consists of regulators from Austria, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Hungary, Moldavia, Romania, Slovenia and Serbia.

The group was established in order to facilitate optimization and international coordination of the remaining broadcasting spectrum at the regional level. The results of the work of this group will contribute to the process of international coordination of frequencies necessary for the switchover to DVB-T2 and to the freeing of the spectrum of the second digital dividend for services in mobile communications networks.
 
HAKOM is represented at this meeting by Željko Tabaković, Deputy Director of HAKOM-a, Ivančica Sakal, Head of the Radiocommunications Department and Krešimir Šakić, broadcasting expert.
