HAKOM is a Co-organizer of the International Conference on Telecommunications ConTEL

HAKOM is a co-organizer of the 13th International Conference on Telecommunications ConTEL, held between 13 and 15 July in Graz, Austria.

 
ZAGREB, July 15, 2015 - Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) is yet again a co-organizer of the International Conference on Telecommunications (ConTEL), held every second year since 2011 in Graz, Austria and Zagreb. HAKOM in cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (FER) of the University of Zagreb, Graz University of Technology and Austrian Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications (Rundfunk & Telekom Reguliernugs - RTD), organized a part of the conference on regulatory challenges in the electronic communications market as well as special workshop on this topic, the fifth in the last five years.

A distinguished guest at the workshop was Professor Ms Fátima Barros, President of Portugal's National Regulatory Authority (ANACOM) and Chairperson of the European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) for 2015, who gave the opening lecture on the topic of regulatory challenges of the new digital ecosystem. HAKOM’s experts Daniel Trutin, Luka Delonga , Krešimir Šakić, Velimir Švedek and Robert Vulas, as well as Nikola Popović, Council Member, Domagoj Jurjević, Deputy President of the Council and Dražen Lučić, President of the Council were the authors and co-authors of notable scientific papers and presentations on this topic. Furthermore, Mr. Dražen Lučić, and Mr. Mario Weber as the Organizational Committee members conducted the workshop, i.e. the panel discussion.

 
The leaders of the regulatory authorities from Albania, Austria, Macedonia and Serbia participated at the workshop along with their associates.
