Workshops for the Projects for Broadband Internet Access Development Have Started

HAKOM started holding the workshops for the projects for increasing the availability of the broadband Internet infrastructure. The workshops will be held together with the representatives of local government units with the aim of presenting a wide range of opportunities for the project realization of Internet development including the possibility of financing by the EU development funds.
 
ZAGREB, May 18, 2015 - Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) is starting to hold the workshops intended for the representatives of the counties, municipalities and cities. The aim is to support local and regional government units in the initiation and implementation of the projects in order to increase the availability of broadband infrastructure. It is an activity carried out within the Implementation Programme of the “Strategy for Broadband Development in the Republic of Croatia” for the period from 2014 to 2015. The first in a series of workshops took place in Pozega, on May 18, 2015 and it was intended for Pozega-Slavonia County representative as well as the representatives of local towns and municipalities.
 HAKOM's experts will participate at the workshops presenting to the other participants information on the broadband access, the national framework programme for broadband access development as well as discussing the challenges of local government units regarding the successful implementation of the projects of building electronic communications infrastructure financed by the EU funds.
