HAKOM at ITU Regional Development Forum for Europe

At the Regional Development Forum for Europe, held from 20 - 22 April, Bucharest, Romania, HAKOM reported on the activities regarding "Broadband for Sustainable Development”.
 
ZAGREB, April, 22, 2015. - The Regional Development Forum was held in Bucharest, Romania from 20 - 22 April. The Forum was hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on "Broadband for Sustainable Development" and  HAKOM participated following the invitation by ITU, the Romanian Minister for Information Society of Romania, Mr. Sorin Mihai Grindeanua and the President of ANCOM, Mr. Marius-Catalin Marinescua. HAKOM was represented by the executive director Mr. Mario Weber who participated in a panel discussion on regional initiatives for faster development of ICT. Mr. Weber had the opportunity to present some of HAKOM's activities for incentive and faster developing of broadband infrastructure in the Republic of Croatia.

This conference also provided insight into the implementation status of five Regional Initiatives for Europe agreed on at the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) in Hyderabad, India in 2010.
