Frequency Coordination Agreement signed with Slovenia for bands between 29.7 MHz and 470 MHzNEWSFrequency Coordination Agreement was signed with Slovenia for bands between 29.7 MHz and 470 MHz. This facilitates the mutual coordination of frequencies for private mobile communication networks.
ZAGREB, 10 April 2015 – A bilateral meeting between representatives of the Slovenia Agency for Communications Networks and Services (Agencija za komunikacijska omrežja in storitve Slovenije, AKOS) and HAKOM was held in Zagreb and ended with the signature of the Frequency Coordination Agreement for bands between 29.7 MHz and 470 MHz.
The Agreement is available on HAKOM’s website at the following link default.aspx?id=594.Both countries are signatories of the HCM (Harmonised Calculation Method) Agreement which lays down rules for the coordination of frequencies and radio stations used in the operation of mobile and fixed electronic communications networks between neighbouring countries. The allocation of frequencies between countries is agreed at bilateral levels. Negotiations on the allocation of frequencies in border areas between AKOS and HAKOM were held on several occasions in 2014 resulting in the signature of yesterday’s agreement. In this manner international rights of individual frequencies were defined thus facilitating further planning of private mobile networks (PMR – closed-type networks – firefighters, power distribution, taxi services etc.) and enabling more efficient use and simpler planning of the spectrum in these areas. # # # For additional information please contact: Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) Roberta Frangeša Mihanovića 9 10110 Zagreb, Croatia Tel. + 385 (0) 1 700 70 07 Fax + 385 (0)1 700 70 70 Media inquiries can be submitted online using HAKOM’s official website: Registration required.
