Guidance on granting the licence for the use of radio frequency spectrum
The application for granting the licence for the use of radio frequency spectrum shall be submitted to HAKOM in writing.
Licence for the use of the radio-frequency spectrum in amateur service is applicable to all radio stations, which the radio amateur has registered when submitting the application for the issuance of the licence. If the radio amateur purchases additional devices or replaces the registered devices by new ones, before starting with work the radio amateur must report any occurred changes to HAKOM. This includes data on the location of the amateur radio stations and technical data for each amateur radio station the radio amateur is using, as well as any modification of data on the existing radio station. The registration shall be submitted by submitting a new application for the issuance of the licence for the use of the radio-frequency spectrum in amateur service.
The conditions of assignment and use of the radio frequency spectrum for the needs of amateur radio communications, the sitting for amateur radio examination, as well as technical and other conditions of use of amateur radio stations and equipment are prescribed by the Ordinance on amateur radio communications (OG45/12, OG 97/14 and OG 116/17). Harmonized examination program can be found here. When submitting the application for granting of the above-mentioned licence the applicant must:
(1) For amateur radio stations with effective radiated power of or higher than 100 W, HAKOM shall issue the certificate of conformity together with the licence, in accordance with the Ordinance on special conditions for installing and use of radio stations. (2) The safe distance shall mean the distance from the site of installation of the transmitter antenna system, at which the electric field values equal border levels. (3) The area of increased sensitivity shall mean the buildings for public, housing and business use intended for the accommodation of people, plots of land on which housing buildings, schools, kindergartens, maternity hospitals and hospitals, tourist facilities and playgrounds for children are situated (according to the town-planning scheme), as well as surfaces of not built plots of land intended for the above mentioned purposes according to the town-planning scheme. (4) In case an applicant has previously provided HAKOM with a certificate or another public document containing data on OIB, such an applicant shall not have the obligation to re-submit them for further licences. |
