HAKOM published an invitation to tender for granting state aid for the development of broadband in flood affected areas in South-eastern Slavonia

After successful completion of five invitations to tender and award of state aid amounting to more than HRK 30 million, HAKOM continues with the implementation of its Internet and Broadband Development Programme. The new tender focuses on the development of the necessary infrastructure for broadband access for target users in flood affected areas of South-eastern Slavonia.
 
ZAGREB, 30 July 2014 – The Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM) published its sixth public invitation to tender for the granting of state aid for the development of the necessary electronic communications infrastructure for fast broadband development. The invitation to tender was published within the framework of HAKOM’s Programme for the development of the Internet and broadband access in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and on islands aimed at building the necessary infrastructure for target users, such as health care facilities, schools and other public institutions. State aid is offered for thirty target users in the area of South-eastern Slavonia (“Cvelferija“), which was affected by severe floods this year in May.
 
All interested natural and legal persons may send their request for tender documentation to the e-mail address potpore@hakom.hr with the subject “Request for tender documentation – sixth round”. The deadline for the submission of tenders is 15 September 2014, which is the date scheduled for the public opening of tenders. The award decision will be published by 3 October 2014.
