ZAGREB, 11 June 2014 – The Council of the Croatian Post and Electronic Communications Agency (HAKOM) selected the best offer for the area of islands submitted under the fifth invitation to tender for the granting of state aid for the development of high-speed broadband networks in areas of special state concern, in highland and mountain areas and on the islands.
More information about the Programme is available online at: www.hakom.hr/default.aspx?id=50.Tenders for the development of high-speed Internet networks for public institutions, such as schools, health care institutions and other users, were submitted by Hrvatski Telekom and Vipnet. Following a detailed analysis, the tender submitted by the company Hrvatski Telekom d.d. amounting to HRK 1,979,425.51 was accepted. In the first four rounds of the tender for the development of high-speed broadband networks in areas of special state concern, in highland and mountain areas and on the islands HAKOM granted state aid amounting to almost HRK 36 million.
