Internet and broadband development programme continues: HAKOM announces 7th public tender for applicationsPRESS RELEASEAfter the previous six tenders for the development of socially-useful applications under the Programme for the development of the Internet and broadband access in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and on islands, HAKOM has launched the seventh public tender for the development of two additional applications.
ZAGREB, 14 March 2014 – HAKOM has announced another public tender for the development of socially-useful applications, the first one this year. The published tender is the continuation of the application component of the Programme for the development of the Internet and broadband access in the areas of special state concern, hilly and mountainous areas and on islands. The intention of the development of applications is to contribute to a faster “broadband eco-system” development. The announced tender is the seventh consecutive one from the beginning of the Programme implementation.
The tender has been announced for the development of the following two applications:
Portal for access to public sector information – data.gov.hr – The Portal should enable access to public sector data, all with the aim to improve public services, intensify the cooperation between the bodies of public authority and the private sector and increase the transparency of the public authority. The Portal is one of the priorities in the public administration modernisation process because it facilitates access to public sector data and information to be used again in one place. It saves time for the users, creates room for innovation and economic development, improves public administration’s user-orientation and strengthens the public in the process of participation in the executive power. The reuse of public administration information is achieved by adding new values, combining information from different sources, creating complex and new applications, both for commercial and non-commercial use. Some public institutions in Croatia already publish information for reuse, but the data.gov.hr portal should provide access to such information from a single central place.
eRedomat – The application provides the possibility to all citizens, who have to run errands at public authority counters, such as issuing documents or clearances at police administrations, to take the number in advance without the need to take it from the machine with numbers in waiting rooms, as well as to be informed on the current number. By using the application, the public will be able to significantly save their time.
The tender is open to all interested legal or physical persons, and the deadline for the submission of tenders is 3 April 2014.
