HAKOM at BEREC’s first meeting in 2014

HAKOM takes part in BEREC’s First Plenary Meeting in 2014 held from 27 to 28 February in Stockholm, Sweden

ZAGREB, 28 February 2014 – HAKOM, as one of the members of BEREC, is taking part in the Plenary Meeting, for the first time hosted by the Swedish regulatory authority. Mr. Dražen Lučić, President of Council, and Mr. Marko Čavlović, Assistant Director, represent HAKOM at the meeting. Mr. Domagoj Jurjević, Deputy President of HAKOM, has taken part in the meeting for the first time in his role of Vice-Chair of BEREC.
 
A workshop on a very current topic of the “New European Commission Recommendation on relevant markets” was held one day before the meeting. At the workshop, opinions were exchanged among the representatives of the national regulatory authorities, the European Commission, the industry and operators on the impact of the above proposal on the future regulation of the electronic communications market.
 
In addition to the discussion of the draft legislation, which will lead to a single European market with emphasis on the draft new regulation on roaming services, the above topic was the central topic of the first Plenary Meeting of BEREC in 2014.
