Number of postal services grows

The intensified activity in the postal services market in Q4 2013 resulted in an increase in the number of services.
 
 
ZAGREB, 14 February 2014 – Positive trends of the postal services market were recorded in Q4 2013, when compared to the previous periods of that year, as well as the growth of the number of services over Q4 2012. The number of services increased by 10 per cent from the end of September 2013, while the growth of 0.5 per cent was achieved when compared with the results of Q4 2012. A full market liberalisation, which took place at the beginning of 2013, contributed to the appearance of new providers and services, and had a positive effect on the postal services market in Q4 2013.
  
HP-Hrvatska pošta d.d. is the largest provider in the market with a market share of 72 per cent. At the end of 2013, competition consisted of 22 postal service providers.
