Experts from EU Member States will share their experience with the workshop participants and present different investment models.
ZAGREB, 9 May 2013 – The Croatian Post and Electronic Communications Agency (HAKOM) in cooperation with the European Commission’s Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) is organizing a workshop on investment models in broadband infrastructure. This two-day event will take place on 13 and 14 May at Hotel Four Points by Sheraton Panorama in Zagreb, Trg Krešimira Ćosića 9, beginning at 8:45 a.m.
The aim of the workshop is to acquire and share positive experiences of the EU Member States in the application of different models of investment in broadband infrastructure at the local and regional level by using, among other, also the available EU funds. The workshop will gather the representatives of ministries, state agencies, cities and HAKOM. EU experts will present the bodies of public authority with the models of investment in broadband access infrastructure in accordance with the Strategy for Broadband Development in the Republic of Croatia for 2012 – 2015 by which the Government of the Republic of Croatia is strategically committed to a balanced development of broadband infrastructure and broadband services. The workshop is completely financed by EU funds, i.e. by the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument and will also help in understanding the importance and benefits of the use of EU funds and other investment models which will be available for Croatia following the eminent accession to the EU.
